Is male cell = obsolete?

Britain’s Prof Karim Nayernia has claimed that he has created human sperm in his stem-cell lab. The devastating announcement was predictably greeted with shock and awe. Whether you are male, female, both or neither;);), you are sure to have mixed feelings about this development. I mean, how can you take men out of the reproduction cycle. That’s insane. Its like taking the wheat out of the dough, milk out of our daily cup of tea, salt’n spice out of our food. However, its still in a nascent stage, so we can’t say for sure whether it will be a success or not, or rather will it be accepted also or not. That’s one side of the view, but if you look at it from the other point of view, there are other possibilities. I actually don’t mind having only one sex 😉 There’s a lot less confusion, more time to get things done. With everything being automated muscle power of man is being rendered useless. Although it is a scary thought for many, but I wonder why there were two sexes in the first place(probably god(if he exists and has created humans) exceeded his own expectations)…:) That’s something which we should leave on god and just try to follow he has set-up for us in the form of mother nature.
Teilhard de Chardin (French geologist, priest, philosopher and mystic) has rightly said, Our duty, as men and women, is to proceed as if the limits to our ability did not exist. We are collaborators in creation.

  1. Dude I think Indian government should fund this research program since they want to balance the male-female ratio. Its a nice way to push the males towards extinction.
